This is just a similar illustration of how to play a minor 7 chord in different positions. 7 means that the seventh tone of a minor scale will be used in the chord. This chord is used in all genres, like blues, rock, funk, jazz, bossa nova.

The 2 coloured points on the figure illustrates the base tones. The black arrows illustrates "same tone", even though it´s sometimes in different octaves.
